My buzzword title is “Impact Designer” because my real title is a run-on sentence. Just think of me as a Swiss Army knife–the one thing you want in your pocket when you’re camping, working on your house, or solving a problem–like the one my parents gave me when I was 9.
I moved up to West Philadelphia with my now-wife from North Carolina in July 2015, on my birthday. Nic is half Czech, and I’m all Hoosier. We have a flower garden, a dog, and a company cofounded to solve problems for the LGBTQ community. We called it QSPACES and our first mission is LGBTQ health equity.
I spend a lot of time thinking about how to make things better, from empty lots to water-splattered wall beneath the hand dryer in the bathroom. I’m also into workwear, Complete Streets, and thoughtful design. I travel often, read a lot, and wear collared almost exclusively.
